Skippers Bowling Head Coach Takes a Step Back After 3 Successful Seasons

Skippers Bowling head coach, Scott Badley, jump-started the program at SC4. Badley just finished his third season as head coach of the Skippers and helped to create and grow the program from its beginning in the 2018-19 academic year.

In his time as head coach of the men's and women's bowling teams at SC4, Badley and his bowlers have earned many accolades. He has led several men's MCCAA singles and doubles champions and taken the team to the NJCAA Bowling Championships each year of the program – finishing 14th in 2019, 6th in 2020, and 9th in 2021.

The women's team has had many MCCAA singles and doubles champions under coach Badley as well, and won the MCCAA Eastern Conference this year(2021). He has also taken the women's team to the NJCAA Bowling Championships each year of the progam – finishing 17th in 2019, 19th in 2020, and 6th in 2021

Coach Badley has worked with his assistants, Laurynn Ball and Patrick Walsh, to recruit and to create one of the top 10 programs in America.

Badley is taking a step back from coaching bowling to focus on his recent promotion at his full-time job. "Coach Badley really did a great job getting our bowling program started and on a great track," said Athletic Director, Dale Vos. "He will be missed, but we are looking forward to someone coming in and continuing to build on the foundation that Scott put in place."
