St. Clair County Community College Cross Country kicks off their season tomorrow, September 4th, with their home Skippers Invitational in Marysville. This year's meet season looks a little different than usual, due to COVID-19, and Craig Dickinson's squad is ready to go no matter the circumstances.

"We are just very excited to compete again," Dickinson said. His teams had a great run last year, qualifying for the NJCAA National Championships.

Returning for the women are both individual qualifiers: Izabella Gowen and Caitlyn Rogers. They are key in leading the group, that includes sophomore Jenna Linton, and incoming freshmen Lily Connelly, Rachel Dusett, Jenna Holzberger, Annaliese Lamontagne, Alyssa Pollauf and Lillianna Rodriguez

The Skippers Men's team shows no returners, but a strong class of freshmen including Daniel Gore, Raymond Hill, Cameron Land, Trenton LivingstonDrew Mayes and Brett Tanton. "Drew Mayes should lead the men's team," said Dickinson, "We are looking to have a great start to the new season."

NOTE: Due to COVID-19 there will be no spectators at any events this fall.
