SC4 Women's Basketball Coach Takes Step Back 

Coach Chris Huss is no stranger to Skippers Basketball, coaching very successful teams at SC4 in the 90's and coming back again from 2018-2021. As his children are older, he's taking a step back from head coaching to spend more time with them, and his wife Tanya.  

Coach Huss took over the Skippers team in 1995-96 season and rallied with them earning MCCAA champions, District/Regional champions, the State champions, and then all the way the NJCAA Championship Finals, taking second place in the nation. Huss and his team then claimed back-to-back-to-back MCCAA Championships in 1995-96, 1996-97 and 1997-98 before he took a step back to focus on his career and his young family.  

Huss returned in 2016-17, and this year he hit 400 careers wins coaching women's basketball. "For more than 25 years Chris has been a friend and a coaching peer," said Athletic Director, Dale Vos. "We spent many hours sharing the gym, riding busses, and talking basketball and family.  I know Chris will still be around, but he will be missed greatly by students and myself."
