Skippers Athletics is pleased to announce Craig Archer as the new head women's basketball coach for St. Clair County Community College. Archer recently accepted the role, and excited about the new opportunity ahead of him. 

Archer is a Blue Water Area native and Skippers Basketball Alumni. After graduating from Marysville High School, Archer played basketball for two years under the direction of Dale Vos from 2006-2008.  

After SC4, Archer continued his playing and academic career at Concordia University Ann Arbor where he was an Academic All American.  

After a successful career and education, Archer made the move to the coaching side of the game. He started out at the high school level for four years before moving his family back to Port Huron and joining the men's basketball staff at SC4.  

Athletic Director, Dale Vos said, "I am so excited for Coach Archer and our women's basketball team. Craig and his wife Kelly both played basketball at SC4 and Craig has been an assistant coach with the Skipper men and been a part of 2 national championship appearances. He has always been a Skipper, and we're excited to see where he will lead our women's team to next." 

During his six years at SC4, Archer also assisted Dale Vos in one district title and one conference championship (along with the national championship appearances).  

Archer is looking forward to this new role on the women's side of the game. "I was extremely blessed to attend and play for SC4 after high school. This school has meant so much to me and my family over the years. I was happy I got the chance to come back and be a part of this community once again." said Archer. He continued, "I am beyond thrilled to take over the women's program in order to build up young players, create another point of pride for the community and, as always, win!"
