PORT HURON, MI- The SC4 Athletic Department announced Thursday, June 29 that 62 student athletes were honored as Academic All-Conference recipients as well as 8 teams named as an MCCAA All-Academic Team for the 2022-23 academic year. Of the 62 students who earned Academic All-Conference 46 of them also earned Academic All-MCCAA.
To earn MCCAA All-Academic Team honors each team had to achieve a cumulative team GPA over a 3.0 in the current academic year. Academic All-Conference is earned by student athletes who receive above a 3.0 while passing at least 24 credits during 2022-23. Academic All-MCCAA honors are earned by a student athlete who posts at least a 3.2 GPA with 24 or more credits earned.
Women's Bowling (3.48) led the way followed by Men's Cross Country (3.43), Men's Bowling (3.29), Women's Basketball (3.26), Soccer (3.13), Softball (3.10), Men's Golf (3.10), and Volleyball (3.01).
