PORT HURON, MI- The Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) unveiled its annual academic honors on Tuesday (July 2) and 59 Skippers student athletes were honored as Academic All-Conference recipients as well as 5 teams named as an MCCAA All-Academic Team for the 2023-24 academic year. Of the 59 students who earned Academic All-Conference 40 of them also earned Academic All-MCCAA.

To earn MCCAA All-Academic Team honors, a team must achieve a 3.0+ team GPA in the current academic year. Academic All-Conference honors are earned by student-athletes who posted a 3.0+ GPA and passed a minimum of 24 credit hours during the current academic year (graduation/NJCAA exemptions apply). Academic All-MCCAA honors were earned by those with a 3.2+ GPA and a minimum 24 credit hours passed during the current academic year (graduation/NJCAA exemptions apply).

Men's golf finished the year with a 3.52 GPA which led the way in the SC4 athletic department and was the 5^th highest team GPA of any sport in the MCCAA. Following them were the Skippers 4 other All-Academic Teams; women's cross country (3.40), women's basketball (3.20), women's volleyball (3.12), and softball (3.04).
