Myrtle Beach, SC - The Skippers started their day on Wednesday, March 6th with a game against Penn State Beaver.

The Skippers had a good game winning 8-6 with most of their runs coming in the 5th inning. Penn State started off scoring 5 runs to the Skippers' 1 before the Skippers scored 5 in the 5th. SC4 tacked on another 2 runs to secure their win to start the day. Hunter Filber led the Skips going 4 for 5 with two doubles, an RBI, and a stolen base. The Skippers had 12 hits, 4 walks, and 8 runs in their win.

Starting on the mound for the Skippers was Trevor Capoferi who went for .2 innings allowing 3 runs and 1 hit. Dylan Ledford stepped up next to throw the bulk of the game with 4.1 innings pitched allowing 2 runs, throwing 5 strikeouts, and getting the win. Jake Goebel closed the game out for the Skippers allowing 1 run and throwing 2 strikeouts.

The Skippers will next play a second game versus Westminster College (PA) JV finishing up their day on March 6th.
