Port Huron, MI – The Skippers opened their cross-country season at Goodells County Park in the Skippers Cross Country Showcase. The event consisted of all of the community colleges in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA).

SC4 couldn't have started their season any better, they took home first place finishing with 55 team points! They had 3 runners finish in the top 10.

Jax Giannosa led the way for the Skippers, finishing in 2^nd place running a time of 27:59. Next across the line was freshman Acer Campbell who finished in 28:32, followed by Ethan McCombs who ran the course in 28:45. Rounding out the top 5 for the Skippers were Gunnar Wessel and Lance Kowalski, running times of 29:46 and 30:06 respectively. Outside of the scoring 5, SC4 also ran 4 other runners. Vinny Schweihofer (30:21), Trent Glass (30:23), Dylan Schumann (30:41), and Joseph Edgemon (36:12).

The Skippers will take a week off before traveling to East Lansing to run in the Spartan Invite on September 13^th.
