Women's Basketball: SC4 Takes Care of the Bears and Moves to 19-2

Port Huron, MI – SC4 hosted Mott Community College on Wednesday (Feb. 7) for a 6:00 PM tip.

The Skippers got off to a hot start and never looked back. They started the game 25-4 before taking 48-21 lead into halftime. The final scored was 82-56.

Freshman Bailey Gormley led all scorers with 23 points, including 5 three pointers. Madelyn Smith was next up adding 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals to the Skippers effort. Amanda Kitchen notched a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Karmyn Lowry also added in 10 points, 7 boards, and 5 assists.

The Skippers now sit at 19-2 with a conference record of 6-1. They have pushed their win streak to 4 games and currently sit at number 17 in the national polls.

SC4 will head to Oakland Community College for a 1:00 PM game against the raiders on Saturday (Feb. 10). Their next home game will be on Wednesday, February 14th when the Jackson jets come to town. The game starts at 5:30 PM.
