SC4 Names New Women's Soccer Coach
Port Huron, MI - Director of Athletics Dale Vos announced Monday, June 10th, the hiring of Karic S.K. Jones as the second Head Women's Soccer Coach in Sc4 history.  
"I am very excited to get Karic in here and working with the team! I have no doubt he will be able to build on what we have accomplished in the past and make our women's soccer program a consistent contender in our conference and region." said Vos.
Jones is no stranger to the Blue Water area. A 2011 graduate of Cardinal Mooney Catholic and a former soccer player for the Cardinals, he has amassed an impressive coaching resume in a short amount of time. Jones has had stops across the region in the high school ranks on the men's and women's sides. Jones also has experience in the pro-development circuit as a team executive and assistant coach

Jones' stops have included Pontiac, Cardinal Mooney, Sterling Heights, Warren Mott, Grosse Pointe North, and most recently, Woodhaven. In his time at Grosse Pointe North, he helped the Norseman to their first regional final in 39 years. Jones coordinated the offense led by 2021 First Team All-State honoree, Tom Sheffield. Additionally, Jones also coached Ben Sheffield who continues his academic and athletic career at NCAA Division I member, Bucknell University in the Patriot League.

At Woodhaven, lightning struck again, and Jones helped the Warriors to a district final appearance and mentored Nolan Smith to All-State Second Team honors, and named one of the top players Downriver.
In his time as a High School Coach, Jones has mentored over 30 All-District and All-Conference players and 6 All-State honorees. 11 of Karic's former players have gone on to play collegiately.
In addition to his high school coaching career, Jones spent time as General Manager for UPSL and UWS2 Rebels FC, formerly Metro Rangers. In addition to overseeing player identification and staff selection, Jones also served in multiple coaching capacities. During his time at Rebels FC, he oversaw seven teams with over 150 collegiate and high school players in the two pro-development leagues. Rebels FC featured some of the best players around the Wolverine State, including former No. 24 NWSL pick and 2022 Big Ten Forward of the Year Lauren DeBeau, two-time NAIA All-American Lauren Turner, and two-time Michigan Miss Soccer and 2023 Big Ten All-Freshman Team member, Lilley Bosley.  
 
Jones is currently working on a Masters's in School Counseling, He graduated from The University of Detroit Mercy in 2017 with a BA in Psychology. Karic resides in Mt. Clemens with his American Bulldog, Harley.
