Marysville, MI – The Skippers hosted 2nd ranked Delta College on Saturday (Aug. 24) for a 1:00 PM game to kick off their 2024 season!

The Pioneers jumped all over SC4 early, scoring 2 goals in the first 16 minutes of the match, one in the 10th minute and one in the 16th minute. After those 2 goals the Skippers tightened up the screws and held Delta scoreless the rest of the game. Unfortunately, their offense just couldn't get it going against a tough Delta defense and was shut out. The Skippers would drop their first game 2-0.

Amirra Tello held it down between the pipes and recorded 8 saves while allowing 2 goals. Offensively, the Skippers didn't have much, however Jessica Peters, Karliana Perdomo, and Grace Schroll all had a shot on goal.

SC4 now drops to 0-1 overall and 0-1 in the conference on the new season but will look to bounce back September 3rd when grand Rapids Community College comes to down for a 3:00 PM kickoff.
