
Marysville, MI – The Skippers hosted the Kellogg Community College Bruins on Saturday (Sept. 14) for a 1:00 PM kickoff.
SC4 got off to a hot start when Jessica Peters found the back of the net on a shot in the 14th minute of the game for a 1-0 lead. The score stayed that way until the 71st minute when the Bruins snuck in a goal to tie the game. After that the floodgates opened, and Kellogg scored 3 more goals before the game was over and they walked away with a 4-1 victory.
Amirra Tello played all 90 minutes in the goal for SC4 and saved 4 shots but let in all 3 goals. Tara Malone took 2 shots and Rylie Jacques took one as well for the Skippers.
The Skippers now fall to 1-2 and 0-2 in the conference. Their next match will be at Madonna University against their reserves on Monday (Sept. 16).
