PORT HURON, Mich. — The St. Clair County Community College (SC4) women's volleyball team closed out the regular season in dominant fashion Tuesday night, earning a 3-0 sweep over Jackson College to secure the outright conference championship — the program's first outright title since 2004.
The Skippers showcased their strength and cohesion throughout the match, capping off a remarkable regular season with a statement win on the road.
Leading the way offensively, Ava Oleski powered the attack with 10 kills and a .450 hitting percentage. Brooklynn Haack and Bree Gentner each added 8 kills, while Ava Hill and Bella McCamman chipped in 7 kills apiece. Addison Bolen ran the offense with 37 assists.
Defensively, Riley Robertson anchored the back row with 21 digs, and Grace Ropes contributed 14 digs and 3 aces, helping the Skippers maintain control throughout the match.
With the regular season now complete, SC4 turns its attention to the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) Championship, which will be hosted at SC4 this Saturday, November 1. The Skippers have received a bye into the championship game on Saturday. Games will start at noon, with the championship game expected to start around 1:30 p.m.
