Peters and Clark Named to All-Region Teams

Port Huron, MI - St. Clair County Community College had two fall sport athletes named to the NJCAA Region XII All-Region teams for their respective sports. Jessica Peters, the freshman soccer star from Dryden and Piper Clark, another freshman who was named MCCAA Eastern Conference Player of the Year on the volleyball team were both awarded the honor today.

Jessica Peters was the catalyst on the offensive end this year for the Skippers, finishing the regular season tied for first in the region with 25 goals scored and second in the region with 55 points. On top of those stats, she also added in 5 assists, all in 20 games played. As a freshman Peters broke the SC4 single season records for goals, points, shots, and shots on goal. She also already holds career records for goals, shots, and shots on goal as well as various single game records. Along with All-Region, Jessica was named to the First Team All-MCCAA and MCCAA All-Freshman Team.

Piper Clark did it all for the Skippers volleyball team, playing all the way around in her freshman year. Clark finished top 5 in region in both kills and points this year with 377 and 430 respectively. She was also good for 28 assists, 34 aces, 367 digs and 33 blocks (5 solo). To go with the All-Region honors Piper also earned the MCCAA Eastern Conference Player and Freshman of the Year awards, First Team All-MCCAA, First Team All-MCCAA Eastern Conference and MCCAA Eastern Conference All-Freshman Team.
