Jenny Storm was exactly the kind of player every coach dreams of having on their team.

“Jenny Storm is a winner. She always played to win and left everything on the court,” said former Skippers coach Chris Huss. “Jenny could score, rebound, and handle the ball. She was a tough defender, played with a lot of confidence and never got rattled. One of the best players I have ever coached. Jenny was a class act on and off the court.”

Storm reflected on her time at SC4, stating “My most favorite memories were just being in the gym everyday with my teammates and coaches and building relationships while working to achieve our goal of a championship.”

Storm played an integral role in that goal as she led the team to a runner-up finish after a triple overtime loss to Kankakee Community College (IL) in the 1994-95 NJCAA DII National Championship game.

“We lost Coach Jackson to cancer after my first season at SC4 and we dedicated that next season to him,” Jenny said. “We were determined to win the National Title!”

During that season Jenny averaged 17.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2 steals and 3 assists per game. She was awarded First team All-Conference, All-State, and All-Region honors during the regular season and was named Regional Tournament MVP. She also made the NJCAA DII National Tournament Team for her outstanding performance during the postseason.

After her time at SC4, Jenny continued her education and athletic careers at Aquinas College where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Science and Arts, with an elementary education teaching certification.

Jenny lives in Schoolcraft, Michigan with her husband Jason and five kids: Brice, Allie, Tucker, Alexis, and Becket. She worked as a kindergarten teacher before deciding to be a stay-at-home mom. Along with raising their children, she does a lot of serving and volunteering for the community. Athletics still plays a big roll in her life as she watches their kids play all kinds of sports. Following in the footsteps of their mom, their favorite sport is basketball!
