Randy Norris has always excelled on the golf course, and that was especially true during his time at SC4.The Millington, Michigan native with a smooth left-handed swing played for the Skippers from 2009 to 2011.

He made his mark during his sophomore year when he was named to the All-Region team after a 4th place finish at the NJCAA Region 12

championship. That finish was good enough to earn him a trip to the NJCAA DII Golf National Championship at Goose Pond Colony Plantation in Scottsboro, Alabama. Competing against the best golfers in America, Randy finished 70th in the country, shooting an impressive final round of 73.

“Randy and fellow SC4 Hall of Fame member Tim Langolf made a dynamic duo, not only within the MCCAA and Region 12, but also at the National Championship,” said head golf coach Dale Vos.

After Norris finished playing at SC4, he transferred to Cleary University where he continued his athletic success. He was named the Athlete of the Year at Cleary in 2013.

“Randy was a really good athlete who just decided to put his time and energy into golf,” Vos added. “His efforts paid off not only during his time with us, but at Cleary University and beyond. His work ethic and personality made him a natural leader.”

Randy’s love of the game hasn’t faded. He still plays and is a member at Willow Springs Country Club in Vassar, MI where he has been named Club Champion 10 times. Norris also runs the junior golf program at the club. During the winters he runs a golf simulator league at his house. Outside of playing, Randy has started a golf simulator business called Custom Sims LLC which installs custom golf simulators and practice putting greens.

Randy lives in Lapeer and works for Feldman Chevrolet of Novi where he has been awarded the GM Mark of Excellence 6 times. He is married to his wife Terha and they have two boys, Eldrick and Xander, who just like their father both love the game of golf.
