Richard Field is in his third year as head coach of the Skippers in 2023-24.
In Field's first season at the helm of the Skippers he led the team to a 22-9 record including a trip to the Great Lakes District B Tournament semi-finals. During the 2022-23 season he helped the Skippers to another 20 win season, finishing at 22-8 which was good enough to qualify for the Great Lakes District A Tournament.
Prior to taking over as head coach, Field spent 3 seasons as an assistant to Coach Dale Vos. With His assistance the Skippers made two NJCAA national tournament appearances, and added in a dstrict and league championship.
A native of Port Huron, MI., Field played at Mott Community College and Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA. before playing professionally overseas for 8 years in Iceland and the Czech Repbulic.
