Ann Arbor, MI – SC4 traveled to the Concordia University to play a single non-conference game against Concordia University JV.

It took no time for Concordia's offense to get going, scoring 1 run in the first inning. SC4 matched that run in the second. Concordia then scored 3 in the bottom of the second inning and a run in the next two innings as well. The Skippers put up 3 runs in the sixth to get within 3 but Concordia added another in the seventh. They would go on to win 7-3.

Carlo Corona had a nice showing going 2 for 4 with a double, a run, and an RBI. Hunter Filber turned in a 1 for 3 day with a run scored and Gavin Tencza went 1 for 4 with an RBI.

Jeff Preston started the game for SC4 and he went 2 innings allowing 5 hits, 4 runs, 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. Out of the pen was Louis Frontero who also threw 2 innings and allowed 2 runs on 3 hits, 3 walks, and struck out 1. Trevor Capoferi pitched for 3 innings, giving up just 1 hit and no earned runs, he also earned a strikeout. Zack Douglas finished off the final inning of the game and allowed just 1 walk.

The Skippers record now sits at 3-16 on the season.

They get back to conference play with a double header at Jackson College on Thursday (Apr. 11). First pitch of game 1 will be at 2:00 PM.
