Skippers Win Both in Holiday Tournament

SC4 vs. GRCC | Dec. 3

SC4 got their revenge as they blew out GRCC 92-51. The Skips were seemingly better in every statistic in the book as it showed in their dominant performance.

Brockton Kohler lead the Raiders with 25 points while shooting an efficient 4 of 8 from downtown. GRCC's #5 Javonte Jones had a solid performance coming off the bench with 14 points on 5 of 11 shooting. Meanwhile SC4 had a very balanced scoring attack as 6 players scored double figures. Caron Clayton couldn't mis from deep as he sunk 4 of 6 three-point attempts. He finished with 18 points. Emmanuel Ndambi had himself another double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. He also had an impressive defensive performance with 3 steals and a block.

This game just shows how much this team has improved from the beginning of the season to now. The last time they went head to head against GRCC they lost 89-84. SC4 looks to continue their winning ways as their next game will be against Mid-Michigan in the Holiday Tournament.

 

SC4 vs. Mid Michigan | Dec. 4

Your Skips had a very strong finish in The Skippers Holiday Tournament as they defeated the Lakers 86-77. SC4's hustle and effort were unmatched as they out rebounded Mid-Michigan 51-37 and won the turnover battle 15-7.

The Laker's Tim Steward had a nice performance with 2 steals, a block and shot 3-5 from the field. Henrique Andrade was that "1" guy for Mid-Michigan as he had one rebound, 1 block, 1 steal, 1 assist, and 1 turnover. He finished the night with a solid 10 points. The skipper's Caron Clayton continued his hot steak as he finished the night with 33 points. He also had 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals. It was some night for #0. Savion Gray had a very solid night as he scored 14 with 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 1 block. All In all, it was yet another great performance from your Skips.

Don't look back now but the Skippers have been on a roll. They've been playing hard, consistent, and smart which has now led them to victory 7 of their last 9 games (5 in a row). Seems like nothing can stop the Skips. The next game will be at Lake Michigan College as they face the RedHawks this Friday (December 10th). Tip off will be at 7:30PM EST.
