SC4 men's basketball took on Alpena Community College at home on Monday, January 3. In the teams' first game of the New Year, your Skippers won 91-54. The guys put in 32 shots from the floor, including 10 three pointers. They shot 74% from the free throw line, putting in 17 one point baskets.

Alpena's top players were three of their starters: James Williams, Nick Freel, and Dwight Williams. J. Williams put up 22 points as well as collecting 6 rebounds in his 31 minutes. Freel had a solid 13 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. D. Williams had a strong defensive game with 8 rebounds and 2 steals.

For your SC4 Skippers, Omari Duncan led the way with 28 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 steals. Chris Dobessi-Tindane contributed 11 points and recovered 6 rebounds. Emmanuel Ndambi had an incredible 9 rebounds on top of his 7 points. Kevin Ibula was an asset off of the bench for our Skippers. He racked up 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals to finish off the night.

Next up the Skippers are scheduled to travel to Macomb Community College on Wednesday, Jan. 5th and compete with the number 18 ranked Monarchs. Skips are looking to make it 10 in a row.
