This game came down to the final seconds, as both teams battled for the W. Both teams started off strong in the first half by scoring 40 points each, heading to the lockerooms at the half all tied up. The Skippers managed to get the W by scoring 36 in he second half while Henry Ford only score 34 points. The final score of this tight match up was 76-74.
Leading our Skippers was Omari Duncan's double-double with 26 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 assists. Caron Clayton contributed with 21 points and 4 steals. Christopher Ballard also help the Skips win by putting up 14 points, 3 steals, and 4 rebounds. The Skippers had a total of 47 rebounds and 48 points in the paint.
The Hawks were led by Carington McCaskill with 24 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists. Gary Solomon also contributed with 20 points, 9 assists, and 7 rebounds.
Skippers are looking to gain another win on Monday, Jan. 24 as they travel to Schoolcraft College for a 7:30 PM EST tip-off.
