The NJCAA Divison II basketball rankings have been released for week 3 and the SC4 men's basketball team are receiving votes. Coming off two wins in three days the Skippers are rolling, having won their last 5 contests. The games have been a mixture of tightly contested battles and dominiating performances by the Skippers. Most recently the Skippers defeated Bryant & Stratten (OH) by a final of 107-59. In that game Jakylen Thomas led the Skippers offensively with 21 points to go with 4 steals. Kelvin Balfour was dominant on the boards as he finished with a double-double, amassing 13 points and 10 rebounds. In all, 6 Skippers scored in double figures as they ran away with the win. The Skippers won a hard-fought battle against then #6 ranked Lakeland Community College on Friday night by a final of 84-73. The men's basketball team will play host to Delta College on Tuesday, November 22 with a tip-off scheduled for 7:30 PM. Arrive early to watch the lady Skipper's basketball team as they tip-off against Delta College at 5:30 PM. Following Tuesday's matchup, both teams will have a little over a week off before traveling to Delta College for a double header.
