Men's Basketball Takes Down Both Opponents in Skippers Holiday Classic

Port Huron, MI – The Skippers Men's basketball team came into the Skippers Holiday Classic riding a 3-game win streak. The picked up 2 wins in the event to improve to 5-2 on the season.

The event included Erie Community College, Alpena Community College, Oakland Community College, and St. Clair County Community College.

The Skippers opened the event on Friday (Dec. 1) taking down Region 12 foe Alpena Community College with a final score of 89-71. A 51-point second half helped extend Skippers 4-point halftime lead. Daquan Coleman led all scorers with 20 points. Zahki Fallen tallied 15 points off the bench while Isaiah Jones added in 14 points and a team high 7 rebounds. Rounding out the double-digit scorers was Zaveon Little with 11 points.

On Saturday (Dec. 2) the Skippers took care of business against Erie Community College. They relied on a 3-point barrage, making 16 on 48.5% shooting from behind the arc to get it done 103-72. Pacing all scorers was Tyler Hamilton who scored 23 points and dished out 9 assists. Zaveon Little was good for a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Daquan Coleman and Isaiah Jones added in 16 while Zahki Fallen scored 14 off the bench.

The Skippers will take the court again on Wednesday December 6th, when they take on Lansing Community College with a 7:30 tip at the SC4 Fieldhouse.
