Flint, MI – The Skippers opened conference play with a road game at 13th ranked Mott Community College.
SC4 pulled off the upset and downed the bears with a final score of 86-75. Mott jumped out to a 5-3 start two and a half minutes into the game, but after that point the Skippers never trailed again. Flint native Isaiah Jones paced the Skippers offensively, scoring 24 points while pulling down 10 boards for a double-double. Zaveon Little also has a double-double scoring 16 with 10 rebounds. Tyler Hamilton was good for 15 points. Zahki Fallen provided a spark off the bench scoring 19 points.
With this win the Skippers move to 12-3 on the season and a perfect 1-0 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference.
Their next game will come at home on Wednesday, January 17 at 7:30 PM against Oakland Community College.
