Macomb, MI – The Skippers took the short trip down I-94 for a matchup against the #3 ranked Macomb Community College Monarchs.

SC4 used a balanced scoring attack combined with an impressive effort on the glass against a bigger team to pull off the big road upset! The final score was 91-79.

The Skippers tallied 5 double digit scorers on the night, but Isaiah Jones led them all with 21 points while pulling down 7 rebounds. Tyler Hamilton added in 15 points with 9 boards and 4 assists. Sophomore big man La'Tavius Vaughter also contributed 15 points and sent away 3 Monarch shots. Both Daquan Coleman and Zaveon Little score 12 points.

SC4 has now beaten last years NJCAA DII champion in Milwaukee Area Tech and the runner-up in Macomb Community College this season!

This win improved the Skippers record to 15-3 overall and 4-0 in conference play. They now control sole possession of first place in the MCCAA Eastern Conference more than a third of the way through.

SC4 will head to Wayne County Community College on Saturday (Jan. 27) at 1:00 PM and then take on the national ranked Henry Ford College next Wednesday (Jan. 31) before returning home the following Saturday for a 3:00 PM matchup against the Schoolcraft College Ocelots.
