Detroit, MI – SC4 took the trip down south to Wayne County Community College on Saturday (Jan. 27) for a 3:00 PM tipoff against the Wildcats.
The Skippers balanced scoring attack was too much for Wayne County CC to overcome as they walked away with an 85-62 victory.
All five of the SC4 starters scored double figures. The leader was La'Tavius Vaughter who scored 18 to go along with his 6 rebounds. Sophomore point guard Tyler Hamilton dropped 16 with 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals for an all-around effort. Zaveon Little had a monster double-double scoring 13 points but hauling in an impressive 16 rebounds to go with. Daquan Coleman also added in 13 points while Isaiah Jones scored 11.
With this win the Skippers move to 16-3 overall and remain undefeated in conference play at 5-0.
SC4 has a big test on Wednesday (Jan. 31) when they head to Dearborn to play the Henry Ford College Hawks. The game will be played at 7:00 PM. Their next home game will be on Saturday, February 3rd against Schoolcraft College. This game is part of the MCCAA Hunger Games competition. Each fan can receive free admission into the game with the donation of a non-perishable good.
