Men's Basketball: SC4 Picks Up a Tough loss to Jackson College

Port Huron, MI – SC4 hosted the Jackson College Jets for a Valentine's Day double header on Wednesday (Feb. 14) with the women's game kicking off at 7:30 PM.

The game was close from start to finish. The Skippers took a four-point lead into the break which Jackson was able to overcome and they lead late before Daquan Coleman hit a big three with just over a minute left to take a one-point lead. SC4 would give up a bucket on the other end and take control down one with 36 seconds left. They would settle for a deep three from Coleman that missed as the fell short 71-70.

The Skippers had three players each score 17 points. Zaveon Little had 17 to go along with his game high 15 rebounds. Isaiah Jones had 6 assists and 6 rebounds with his 17 points and Daquan Coleman was the third Skipper with 17. Tyler Hamilton scored 12 points to aid the effort.

SC4 is now 19-5 on the season and 8-2 in conference play. This loss drops them to second place in the conference with four games to go.

The Skippers will look to bounce back this Saturday (Feb. 17) when they host 6th ranked Macomb Community College at 3:00 PM. This game is a Pink Out for cancer awareness with the proceeds from the game being donated to cancer research.
