Port Huron, MI – SC4 hosted the 6th ranked Macomb Community College Monarchs on Saturday (Feb. 17) as part of a Pink Our game for Breast Cancer awareness.
It was a close game from start to finish. Macomb led for most of the game until the Skippers took a three-point lead under ten seconds to go. The Monarchs hit a buzzer beater to send the game to overtime where the Skippers would fall 85-81.
Isaiah Jones had a big game scoring 25 points with 7 rebounds and 3 blocks. Tyler Hamilton added 16 points. La'Tavius Vaughter scored 12 with 8 boards and 3 blocks. Sophomore Daquan Coleman helped out with 11. Off the bench Zahki Fallen scored 11.
This is the first time the Skippers have lost two in a row since the first two games of the season. This loss drops them to 19-6 overall and 8-3 in the conference. Their chance of a conference title isn't out the window but they will need some help from others to have a shot with three games left.
The Skippers will look to bounce back this Wednesday (Feb. 21) when they host Wayne County Community College at 7:30 PM.
