Piqua, OH – The Skippers played one more game at Edison State on Saturday (March 2) before finishing the trip to Myrtle Beach, SC.

SC4 gave up six runs in the bottom of the first inning before matching that in their half of the second. They would score one in the top of the fourth to take a 7-6 lead. Unfortunately, that lead didn't last long, they gave up 5 in the bottom of that inning and were never able to overcome that. They fell again to Edison State, 15-7 in 6 innings. Sarah Fantin had a nice day going 3-4, including 3 doubles, with a run and an RBI. Alexis Perin added in 2 hits in 3 at bats. Isabella Pesina was 1-3 with a triple, a run, and 2 RBI's.

Inside the pitcher's circle, Brandi Bassett got the start giving up 13 runs (only 5 earned) on 8 hits and 3 walks, falling to 0-2 on the season. Reise Lonnborg threw 1/3 innings in relief giving up 2 more runs.

The Skippers will finish the trip to South Carolina and play two games on Monday (March 4). They have a game against Lackawanna College at 3:00 PM and Delta College at 5:00 PM.
