Myrtle Beach, SC - On day two in Myrtle Beach, the Skippers took on Monroe Community College on Tuesday (March 5th).

It was a back-and-forth game with both teams put up 5 runs before Monroe walked it off the Skippers. SC4 scored 2 in the first inning, 2 in the second, and tied up the game with a run in the fourth. With 5 total lead changes the Skippers fought to stay in it but were ultimately overcome by Monroe 6-5. Kalei Pegg and Sarah Fantin both went 1-3 with a walk and a single scoring 2 runs each. MaKynna Saltzman scored a run and had an RBI while also turning a double play on her own.

Kaylie Rickert got the start and pitched the entire game facing a total of 35 batters during the 6.1 innings. She recorded 6 strikeouts while allowing 12 hits and a total of 6 runs however none of them were earned.

The Skippers play Southeastern Community College-Whiteville next to wrap up their second day in South Carolina.
