Myrtle Beach, SC - On Tuesday, March 5th the Skippers took on Southeastern Community College-Whiteville to finish their second day.

With a final score of 4-2, the Skippers beat out Southeastern for a win to end the day. Southeastern came out swinging scoring their 2 runs in the top of the first but were unable to score throughout the rest of the game. The Skippers also racked up all 4 runs in one inning, later on in the 4th to take the lead and win the game. Sarah Fantin scored first off of a double by teammate Alexis Perrin to open the scoring. Natalie Douglas hit a 3-run homerun to bring in Perin and MaKynna Saltzman and bring the Skipper's final tally to 4. The game ended in a 4-2 SC4 victory!

The starting pitcher for the Skippers was MaKynna Saltzman and she pitched all 7 innings against Southeastern. She allowed only 2 runs, neither of which were earned, and 5 total hits with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts.

Due to weather cancellations, the Skippers will next play on Thursday, March 7th vs Delta College and Kankakee Community College.
