Myrtle Beach, SC - At the end of day 3 the Skippers faced the Kankakee Community College Cavaliers on Thursday, March 7th.

The Cavaliers came out swinging and scored a run in every inning except the fifth with a total of 8 runs. The Skippers struggled to mount an offense against the Cavaliers, only managing one hit. Ashley Bassett put the ball in play for the Skippers and got a single going 1-2 for the game. Brandi Bassett excelled defensively by turning a double play on her own.

MaKynna Saltzman started for the Skippers and she split the game with Brandi Bassett, both  facing 17 batters. Saltzman allowed 4 hits and 5 runs in 2.1 innings while Bassett closed out the last 3 innings allowing 4 runs and 6 hits.

The Skippers have one last game before they depart from Myrtle Beach and begin their journey back. They play Kaskaski College on Friday, March 8th before heading to Terra State.
