The SC4 Skippers lost a close match to the Wayne County Community College Wildcats.  

The Skippers put up a fight but could not keep up with the Wildcats. Wayne pulled ahead in the first quarter by putting up 14 while the Skippers only put up 8. After that, the Skippers would not close the gap. The final score was 60-56.  

The Skippers were led by Brooklyn Taylor with 22 points, 3 assists and 2 rebounds. Christina Bohm also contributed with 10 rebounds and 6 points. Janae Smith and Lily Connelly both put up 5 points for the Skippers. Morgan McConnell aslo contributed with rebounds and 4 assists.

Leading Wayne was Taylor Walton with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Maryam Ashim also put up 16 pins and 7 rebounds.  

Skippers return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 19 at Oakland CC. Tip-off will be at 5:30 PM EST.
