Port Huron, MI – The SC4 basketball teams had a Friday night (12/8) double header against the Kirtland Firebirds.
The women's team ran away with their matchup. The Skippers held Kirtland to just 9 second half points on the way to a commanding 83-38 victory. Arlonna Twitty led the Skippers offensive attack scoring 15 points with 3 takeaways. Freshman forward Amanda Kitchen dumped in 14 along with 11 boards while fellow freshman Bailey Gormley tallied 13 points, 4 assists, and 5 rebounds. Off the bench Ashley Halligan added 11 to the effort.
With this win the Skippers improve to 8-1 on the season and increase their winning streak to 8 games.
SC4 will be on the road for it's next two games with matchups against Glen Oaks and South Suburban. They return home on December 30th for a 1:00 pm tip against North Central Michigan College.
