Two Women's Bowlers Off to Nationals!

Brook and Kate headed to Nationals.

The Skippers women's bowling team consisted of three strong bowlers this year. Two veterans, and one new player. Brook Bauman has been a part of Skippers Bowling for three years, helping lead the team to the National Championships last year. Katelyn Heiden, a second year freshman, knows the work that has to be done to make it to the Championship. Alli Irwin is a new member this year, and has continued to grow her game. These three ladies spent the year competeing together as a team of three. They could not compete as a 5-person team, discluding them from placing as a team, but if they had been able to, their pin count would have been up in the top every time.

Two ladies from the women's bowling team qualified for the National Championship last Friday at the MCCAA and Region XII Championships - Katelyn Heiden and Brook Bauman. Katelyn bowled extremely well, finishing 4th overall in All Events. Brook had a great performance as well, earning her a qualification for the championship.

Catch the Skippers at Nationals next week on Thursday, March 3rd for women's singles and doubles! The men's team will be competeing on Friday and Saturday as well. Champions will be crowned on Saturday, March 5th in the afternoon. Follow along online at: https://www.njcaa.org/championships/sports/bowl/index.
