The St. Clair County Community College soccer team traveled to nationally ranked Schoolcraft College on September 6, 2023, for a 2pm game. The team took an early lead in the game scoring the first goal in the 25th minute. The Skippers ultimately fell to the Ocelots 1-4.
"They kicked off with a strong start against a Nationally ranked opponent scoring first at the 25-minute mark. While the players battled hard, we were unable to hold that goal through the half. While the game ended without the result we were hoping for, I think we learned a lot about what we are capable of. We return to the practice pitch with our commitment to learning and growth and getting better each day," says head Coach Todd Stank.
Our teams leading scorer Jessica Peters share her thoughts on the game, "we went into the game knowing it was going to be hard, we came out and scored an early goal. We didn't get the end result we wanted, but we worked hard. We are excited to play them again in a couple weeks."
