Skippers volleyball hosted the Mott Bears on Tuesday, October 12 at the SC4 Fieldhouse in Port Huron, MI. 

How it happened

• Starting for the Skippers were Miyana Dishroon, Samantha Kent, Quinn Peterson, Heather Broski, Christina Bohm, and Joeleen Gaffney
• Mott starting lineup was Quincy Davis, Deanna Mann, Harper Johnson, Taylor Wendling, and Grace Pavelka 
• Riding a hot start in set one, the bears captured the first set 25-9
• Continuing their strong play into set two the bears take the second set 25-21
• The Bears capped off their sweep with a 25-16, third-set win.
• Leading the Skippers was freshmen Miyana Dishroon with seven kills
• Freshmen Samantha Kent added five kills for the Skippers 
• Miyana Dishroon chipped in ten assists while Joeleeen Gaffney dished out eight assists 
• The Bears were led by Grace Pavelka with eight kills 

Inside the Numbers

• The Skippers tallied 25 kills 24 assists, and 55 digs
• Bears notched 36 kills, 31 assists, and 72 digs
