Dearborn, MI -- The SC4 Skippers volleyball team was on the road tonight for another MCCAA matchup with Henry Ford College. Last time the two met, Skippers won in three. Skippers continued the trend with a 3-1 victory over the Hawks. 

SC4 3, Henry Ford College 1 (25-12, 18-25, 25-13, 25-11)

Skippers started out strong in set one, tallying 10 kills on 20 attempts, with zero errors. In set two, Skippers had a slow start and Henry Ford took the oportunity and eventually the set. Skippers returned with fire to win the next set 25-13. They then came out with another strong showing in the fourth to take the match. 

Quinn Peterson (North Branch, Mich./North Branch) paced the Skippers offense with 10 kills, followed closely behind by Miyana Dishroon (Woodhaven, Mich./Woodhaven) with 9.  Olivia Jovanovich (St. Clair, Mich./St. Clair) led the defense with 10 digs, Dishroon tallied 9 digs, and Peterson pitched in 8.  Joeleen Gaffney (Marysville, Mich./Marysville) and Dishroon tallied 12 and 16 assists respectively. The Skippers collectively had 16 services aces vs. the Hawks with Dishroon, Jovanovich tallying 5 and 4 repectively, and Sarah Lohr (St. Clair, Mich./St. Clair) and Makiyah Terry (Macomb, Mich./L'Anse Creuse North) each adding 2.

Skippers return home to face off against the Mott CC Bears next Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the SC4 Fieldhouse. The Bears are currently sitting 2nd in the MCCAA and the Skippers are third.
