The SC4 Skippers volleyball team went 1-1 on their second day August 19, 2023 at the Opening Weekend Tournament in Rockford, Illinois.
The team got off to a slow start according to Head Coach Michelle McCulloch. "It was a slow start today, but we were able to finish with a win. Back to work to prep for more competition this week" The final score in game one vs Southwestern Illinois was 0-3 (21-25, 18-25, 24-26)
The Skippers pulled it together for their second game of the day vs Elgin. The Skippers secured their first win of the season in straight sets 3-0 (25-12, 25-8, 25-13). The coaching staff selected freshmen Piper Clark as the player of the game!
Next up the team will host Lake Michigan College and Lansing Community College on August 23 at the SC4 Fieldhouse.
