Kyle Peets

Kyle Peets

Kyle Peets is in his first year as head coach of the Skippers in 2025-26.

A former standout collegiate pitcher at Calvin University, Peets draws heavily on his own playing experience to connect with athletes and teach the game through a player-first perspective. His pitching background shapes his approach to communication, individualized instruction, and long-term development planning.

Before joining SC4, Peets served as Head Coach of the Xenia Scouts in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League during the 2025 season—one of the most successful campaigns in the organization's history. Under his guidance, the Scouts captured their division title for just the third time ever and recorded the third-best overall season in program history. His leadership and impact earned him GLSCL Coach of the Year honors.

From 2021–2025, Peets played a foundational role in launching the baseball program at Grace Christian University, serving as its inaugural Pitching Coach and helping establish the team during its earliest years. He continued to expand his coaching résumé in 2024 as the Pitching Coach for the Chugiak–Eagle River Chinooks of the prestigious Alaska Baseball League, working with high-level Division I and Division II athletes. Across his summer league roles with both the Scouts and the Chinooks, Peets has developed numerous players who have gone on to advance into NCAA Division I and Division II programs.

Beyond his coaching experience on the field, Peets brings a background in professional player performance. From 2022–2024, he worked in the Detroit Tigers Performance Science division, contributing to data-driven training design, workload monitoring, and injury-prevention initiatives. In 2023, he also served as Director of Pitching on a baseball mission trip to Argentina, combining coaching, leadership development, and service.

Coach Peets currently resides in Port Huron, where he enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
