Port Huron, MI – The St. Clair County Community College Athletic Department has announced the hiring of Tom Colwell as their new wheelchair basketball coach. Colwell joins the department as the second coach in school history.

"We are excited to get Tom in here, recruiting athletes and continuing to build our new program." Said Director of Athletics, Dale Vos. "Tom's prior experiences and accolades were very impressive; he's going to do a great job here."

Those experiences include roughly 20 years of coaching wheelchair basketball. He has spent time at all different levels including nationally and with the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA). Tom has been a team manager, assistant coach, or head coach with many junior and senior national teams for Team USA and with other countries as well.

The SC4 wheelchair basketball team welcomes all genders, disability ranges (able bodied as well), and skill levels. If you are interested in joining the team or want to learn more, please reach out to Coach Colwell at dtcolwell@sc4.edu.
