SC4 Women’s Basketball Sails Past Lambton College, Improves to 2-0

PORT HURON, Mich. — The St. Clair County Community College (SC4) women's basketball team continued its strong start to the season with a dominant 70-38 victory over Lambton College in its home opener Tuesday night at the SC4 Fieldhouse.

The Skippers showcased balanced scoring and relentless defense, holding Lambton to just 30.4% shooting from the field and forcing 35 turnovers.

SC4's offense was fueled by standout performances across the roster, led by Myana Cooksey, who filled the stat sheet with 13 points, 6 assists, and six steals. Taylor Wallace added 11 points and 2 steals, while Sarrinah Ajami, fresh off her MCCAA Player of the Week honor, contributed 8 points and 8 rebounds. Off the bench, Kyrieonna Carter provided a spark with 9 points and 11 rebounds, helping SC4 dominate the glass and maintain control throughout the game.

SC4 outrebounded Lambton 49-30 and converted defense into offense with 21 steals and 12 points off turnovers. With the win, the Skippers improve to 2-0 on the season.

Their next matchup is set for Saturday, Nov. 8, at 1 p.m. when they host Muskegon Community College at the SC4 Fieldhouse.
