It was awesome to have Doug Konieczny stop by the campus to check out the SC4 Fieldhouse while he was visiting from his home in Texas. Konieczny played for the 1971 Skipper's Baseball team before being selected by the Houston Astros as the 3rd overall pick in the 1st round of the 1971 MLB Draft. He made is MLB debut with the Astros in 1973 and played 4 seasons in the big leagues compiling over 100 strikeouts. He was inducted into the Skippers Hall of Fame earlier this year.
