Women's Basketball: SC4 Receiving National Attention for 7th Straight Week

Port Huron, MI – The NJCAA Division II women's basketball week 9 rankings were released Monday (Jan. 29) and the Skippers found themselves in the receiving votes category again!

The Skippers are sitting at 17-2 overall and 4-1 in the conference. They went 2-0 in a bounce back week following their first loss in 15 games. They took down the Monarchs of Macomb Community College on the road on Wednesday (Jan. 24) before downing the Wayne County Community College Wildcats on Saturday (Jan. 27) to improve their new win streak to 3 games.

SC4 is right in the middle of the race for the MCCAA Eastern Conference crown, as they trail both Jackson College and Schoolcraft College by just one game.

The Skippers will take Wednesday off as they had a game against Henry Ford College cancelled but they will be back in action at the SC4 Fieldhouse on Saturday (Feb. 3) at 1:00 PM. They play the conference leading Schoolcraft College Ocelots, who were also receiving votes in this week's poll. This game is part of the MCCAA Hunger Games competition. Each fan can receive free admission into the game with the donation of a non-perishable good.
