Danny Pink was dominant on the golf course during his two years in 1990-92 as a member of the Skippers golf team.

He was on a mission during his sophomore season, finishing in a tie for 5th place at the NJCAA Region 12 championship which would put him in a playoff for the final spot to go to the national tournament. Pink won the playoff and earned the opportunity to compete at the NJCAA National Championship in Arizona, where he would finish just outside of All-American status.

“Pink was a great kid and as easy going and confident a golfer you can find” said former golf coach and athletic director Ross Green. “I remember walking with him during that playoff and he was constantly telling me ‘I’m good coach, I’m good’ no matter what situation he was in and turns out he was right!”

After completing his two years as a Skipper, Danny accepted a full ride golf scholarship to NCAA Division 1 Florida A&M University before ending up at Oakland University where he completed his degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Following his college playing days, Pink continued his golf pursuit, competing on mini tours as a professional throughout the United States and Canada. He also worked briefly as an assistant golf pro at Black River Country Club.

Now Danny uses his Engineering degree to help grow his family business, Pink Precast, but still golfs as much as he can. His skills continue to shine as he holds the course record at Port Huron Golf Club, shooting an incredible round of 62.
